Support CHS with eScrip!

eScrip is proven to be a fantastic resource for fundraising where participating business partners contribute a percentage of your grocery loyalty card, credit card, and debit/ATM card purchases to the organization of your choice at NO COST TO YOU. Visit the family of merchants for a complete list of participants in the program.

Here's How it Works:

  • Register any one or all of your existing grocery loyalty, debit and credit cards for use in the program.  Choose Cupertino High School ASB (6499420) as your group.
  • Participating merchants will make contributions to your chosen group, based on purchases made by you, when you use the cards you have registered.
  • Your purchases are tracked and available to you online, allowing you to see just how much you are earning on your child's behalf!

Online shopping - eScrip offers this same benefit at their Online Mall.  Simply start your online shopping by selecting your retailer through the Online Mall and then shop as usual.  Again, the merchant will pay CHS ASB a percentage of your total purchase at no cost to you.  Download AutoEarn for eScrip and you will automatically earn on your eligible online purchases – no need to remember to go to eScrip first.

NEW to eScrip – FRESH & EASY.  If you shop at Fresh & Easy, you can earn up to 5% on your purchases.  Register your Fresh & Easy Friends card to get started.

Reminder for loyal eScrip participants!  Log in to your eScrip account and check that your credit card and loyalty card information is up to date.  If it isn’t, we may be losing donations.  We currently have 810 registered participants, but of those, only 492 earned contributions for our school during this calendar year.

Safeway shoppers! It is important that you know that Safeway (our largest contributor) is no longer contributing on purchases made with a credit card.  This is making quite an impact on our earnings.  An alternative for credit card shoppers is to buy Safeway gift cards and then use those gift cards to buy your groceries.  You can still earn your points with your credit card (when purchasing the gift card) AND earn cash for the school (when using a gift card instead of a credit card at check out).  All other forms of payment still earn contributions.

More student programs to come!

Please stay tuned for some of the following programs :

  • Career OPtions

COPs is a series of monthly seminars focused on a career option. A panel of two to three speakers from a given career field provide their perspectives to the students. The seminars are open to all students. We need parent volunteers to help in identifying and organizing panels and bringing speakers. If you can be a speaker or can help with this program, please see the volunteer form or contact Vandana Agarwal.

  • Job Shadow

In 2012-2013, students had an opportunity to explore the Executive Briefing Center and saw the Telepresence technology at Cisco systems headquarters in San Jose through a job shadow experience. If you are willing to organize an event at your company and inspire our students with exposure to the products and business of your company, please get in touch with PTSA through volunteer form or contact Vandana Agarwal to discuss your idea and timeline.

Interested in Joining the PTSA Board?

The Nominating Committee is now seeking volunteers for next year's board. If you are interested, please contact Nominatingctte.chs@gmail.com. Thank you!

SPECIAL RECOGNITION OF volunteers

Attention CHS Parents!

The PTSA needs your help to identify individuals whose contributions to the CHS community are worthy of recognition. Perhaps you know of a teacher, staff member, or parent whose tireless effort on behalf of the students happens mostly behind the scenes or goes largely unnoticed by others. Maybe you are aware of an advisor, coach or mentor who has a positive impact on the lives of Cupertino students.

This year, the PTSA will host a community event on our campus to honor a group of amazing volunteers. We need your input---we want to know who the individuals are that make a difference in your students’ lives!

Please forward your nominations to Patti Schmidt at 4pattischmidt@gmail.com by March 2nd. Include the nominee’s name, a brief paragraph explaining the nomination, your name and contact information.

Thank you in advance for your help!
